I googled for 3 - 4 weeks, looking for a good opportunity with a low startup cost. I knew from all of my emails I received from the day I opened my email account, that MLM and Matrixes were not for me. I didn't want to sell anything from any mall, market mediocre ebooks, or bother everyone in my mailing list to do something that was just plain silly.

I found a site, just a simple HTML site with something that got my attention. They weren't bashing other companies. They were straight up about what they sold, and they didn't want anyone who wanted something for nothing to even bother with signing up. Well, all of us know, it takes money to make money. That's bottom line. I don't care what you do, it takes money to make money!

Example: You are an attorney, you are starting a new firm with a buddy from law school. Well.. are you going to work out of your car? No. There's expense number one. Your building expense. WOW! Have you seen what buildings rent for in the Law Districts of Town?! Ok, you have to have someone to work your reception area. Expense number two. Then, you don't want to look like a bum or a vacuum salesperson, so you have to buy some sharp suits. Expense number 3. Oh, and the countless amount of paper, paper clips, all of the office supplies.. Whoa.. Not to go into to much detail( I know, too late!!) That's about $15 - $20 grand and you don't even have a client yet, or maybe you do and you are praying that he gets into trouble so you can pay a student loan payment!

Now, that 's the high end...People, even if you want to work at McDonald's, there are expenses. Not too much, but there are expenses. Ok, you have to have fuel for your vehicle(if you have one) to get to work. The first 2 weeks, you don't have any money at all because you are on their schedule and they pay you when they can fit it in their payroll schedule. No Thanks.. That's the low end. For us Entrepreneur types, the Unemployable. Ok, I was in the insurance industry for 7 years while I was in and out of school. Great money, MUCH competition. I worked with Major Medical Health, and some fine Life Companies. All great products and great compensation. Let me tell you, the expenses pile up from the minute you start. If you do stick it out, you lose the most precious asset you have: your time!

The money flows in, but you find yourself without family time, you time, no time, but work time. The first 3 - 4 months are hard. You pay for gas to get to appointments, leads, more gas, clothes to look half way decent, more gas, more leads, cause you weren't up on the product and you burnt the first set of leads with your inexperience, oh yeah, and more gas! Cold Calling is fun when you are out small rural towns. Oh so much fun! Business to business is the best! Anyway.. I did my research, I see all of the hype, I am very happy about what I have achieved with my new business, and look forward to doing even better, and along the way helping some folks like myself out with the same opportunity. That's not my main goal, but it fits in with it!
